For centuries, the quality of life in France had been determined by the status one had. A status that could not be attained, but was instead determined by the family to which one was born to. If you were born to a poor family, your life, would be one of poverty. And no matter how had an individual worked, it was impossible to rise above this fate. It wasn't until 1789 before the people began to fight for themselves, hence the French Revolution was spurred. The long raging war went on for 10 years before it finally came to an end. But did the people actually achieve their goal? Did the revolution bring out the change they all fought for? Did the revolution bring about any change at all?
